I am so incredibly lost at work that I sometimes sit up and look around and say… “who am I… and how did I get here?”
Down 20! October 27, 2010
… and I recently saw a pic of little Sis… and it appears she has gained! ~I

…lost another pound today. Wondering if I quit the Seroquel will I lose weight faster….
Ten September 10, 2010
Well, not much to report except that I am down 10lbs. I was hoping it would be 11 but one day this week I didn’t lose. Bummer. I am happy about the ten but I have a loooooooong way to go.
Slow and Steady… September 6, 2010
…wins the race. Down 1 more! I know that, at some point, I am going to plateau but in the meantime I am happy about the 1lb. a day that I am losing! I am feeling like I am ready to start walking again… yay!
I had a really nice weekend spoiling my spouse! He only has Sunday off so I really like to make his day great. I let him sleep~in then I made him a protein shake as he prepared to run a few personal errands. Then I grilled him a delicious Rib Eye steak served with a salad, baked potato, and grilled green onions. I also added some sautéed mushrooms to the menu with some warmed baked bread. Spectacular! Then we just chilled the rest of the day! …and I stuck to my diet. XOXO~Indigo
…lower case…. September 4, 2010

Dancing With the Stars…. September 4, 2010
As a “late-comer” to this fabulous show… but now quite a fan… I decided I just had to weigh-in on the new Season’s line up. I would like to add that the first Season that I actually watched was the one with Mario Lopez. I found it really irritating that they kept pushing the “Latin” thing… and it felt like they were really trying to get the hispanic vote for a win. We can discuss this if you want… but if there is a way to go back and watch those episodes I suggest you do it. The proof is in the pudding.
Any~hoo… The next one I remember watching is the one with Julianne Hough and Hélio Castroneves. And I LOVED it!!! She is just so beautiful to watch… and her choreography is fun and challenging. She doesn’t just showcase her own talents but really challenges her partners to push themselves and step up to really become amazing dancers! I was so happy they won! (I watched some of the Apollo Anton Ono but I came to the game late)
From there on… I have been a fan! And my favorites always win! When they announced last Season’s line-up I thought it was a rig that Nicole Scherzinger was in there. But then I fell in love with her!!!! I was so happy she won!
Okay, now for this Season. I know that a lot of people are saying that it is going to suck. And I guess they are entitled to their opinions… but here is the thing… Dancing With the Stars is wildly entertaining. Tom Bergeron is so stinking funny… I swear it is worth it just to watch him come up with the funniest lines! For a Monday night I think it is a great show to look forward to! Not to mention the really great guest stars that come on… and the music is wonderful… the band is phenomenal. So, I would tell anyone that is complaining… to just chill out and enjoy the show. I think the real fans already know this.
Now, I will offer my take on the line up. I will try to be as brief as possible!
The Women
Reality star Audrina Patridge… Yeah, not a fan. I think she will leave early.
Singer/actress Brandy… She will probably last but I don’t really care for her, personally. I just don’t find her that entertaining or talented.
“Dirty Dancing” actress Jennifer Grey… My FAVORITE! She will win!!! I will be voting for her. I don’t think she has an unfair advantage just because her dad is Joel Grey. She is 50 years old for goodness’ sake! And she looks fabulous! I really hope this revives her career too!!!!!
Comedian Margaret Cho… Yuk. Ugly attitude. Most likely Ugly to watch.
“Brady Bunch” mom Florence Henderson…. Love her! But she will leave early. Sorry Mrs. Brady
Sarah Palin’s daughter Bristol Palin… She seems sweet but I don’t think she will last. I don’t think she has the “chops”. But I do hope the show will help endear her to the nay-sayers.
Now for the Men…
Singer Michael Bolton… eww, eww, eww! I have never been a fan and I have never understood his appeal. When all the women use to swoon over him I felt like the kid from the Emporer’s New Clothes. His hair was a disgusting mullet and just ewww. PLUS! I swear when he sings he sounds like he has mashed potatoes in his throat. YUK! Is that appealing to women??? Yuk. I agree with the guy from the movie Office Space. But I don’t want to be rude so you gotta look that up yourself!
Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino…. EWWWWW!!! Although he will probably provide some entertainment and he is so athletic that he may just last. But I won’t be voting for him. I also won’t be looking forward to seeing his other co-’stars’ from his show. Ew.
Actor David Hasselhoff… Ummmm. No.
NFL quarterback Kurt Warner…. Love him! Great Guy! I hope he lasts.
Actor Kyle Massey… I have no idea who this is.
So, there you have it. My humble opinion. Opinions are welcome. Oh, by the way… I kept trying to join the Forums for the 1st Personal Diet and for some reason when I would try to Log In it wouldn’t let me. Then I read the program details and it shows that you get 12 weeks of guidance and what not while on the program. Well, since I actually paid and joined back in ’07 I guess I am OUT! I will just track my progress here on WordPress. I hope some dieters find me and we can discuss. By the way… today I am at 255.2 after four days. (and I cheated the second day with a few scoops of mashed potatoes) Darn. BUT still pleased with five pounds lost! XOXO ~Indigo
Grrrrr… September 2, 2010
SO… yesterday went very well until it was time to make my husband’s dinner. Since I made him a pretty substantial lunch of lasagna and green beans plus dessert… we went with something “simple” for dinner which was mashed refried beans mixed with eggs. Served with warm corn tortillas and chipotle sauce… and dessert. WELL, the minute I added the bacon grease to the beans I started to get dizzy. The smell started to permiate the room and all of my senses started to scream at me to run out of there and let my husband eat his snack pack pudding for dinner.
But, alas, I knew I had to “soldier” through it. And it sucked. And I got angry. And then I decided to get him some frozen dinners or something really bland like that for his next meals. So, tonight he is getting frozen fish fillets! (which he actually likes… with fresh lemon… ) Something tells me that the minute my “senses” start to experience those fillets I will all of the sudden remember that I LOVE frozen fish fillets too! …yuk.
And one more thing about this Cohen’s diet… I forgot how much I was going to be pee-ing. I mean I really do love ice cold water (and chewing ice) but eight glasses a day! I was up ALL night running to the bathroom… Oh, yeah, I also forgot to mention… I got my monthly bill 5 days early. Not sure why or how… so, I think my weight may have been affected by that… But, ALSO, in 26 days when I am at the Jersey Boys show I am either going to be PMSing or worse! QUE LASTIMA!
Can’t Take My Eyes Off You September 2, 2010

I love this song. I was only 3 years old when this song was released. I remember, as a little girl, riding in the car and singing it with my dad when it came on the radio. What a beautiful song… to this very day when I listen to it… as the Horn Section comes in and starts to ‘build’… I get sentimental. Then it crashes into that glorious crescendo where I just can’t help getting emotional. This song is not only beautifully arranged but also lyrically, I believe, one of the greatest love songs ever composed.
I miss you, Daddy ~XOXO
